SMALL BATCH · HAND-POURED · CHICAGO

Skincare with nothing hidden in it.

One product, water-free, hand-poured in small batches. Every ingredient is listed in full with its INCI name and the reason it's there — not a marketing list with and other ingredients at the end.

ONE PRODUCT

That's the whole catalogue.

We would rather make one thing properly than eight things adequately.

THE PROMISE

We tell you everything that's in it.

The balm is anhydrous — it contains no water. That is not a marketing flourish. Water is what microbes grow in, so a water-based cream needs a broad-spectrum preservative system to be safe. Take the water out and preservatives become unnecessary rather than merely absent.

It also means every gram in the tube is doing something. There is no filler phase, no thickener holding an emulsion together, and no percentage of the stick that is water you paid for.

The formula is built by subtraction. It excludes beeswax, lanolin, coconut, tree nuts, soy, fragrance, essential oils and botanical extracts — every one of them a documented contact allergen in this category. Seven ingredients, chosen as much for what they are not as for what they are.

The rest is bookkeeping, and it matters: cosmetic-grade inputs only, a certificate of analysis on file for every raw material, batch records from batch one, and the complete formula printed on the page. If an ingredient is in there, you can read it before you buy.

GO DEEPER

How we formulate, in detail.

Why anhydrous, what cosmetic grade actually means, and how the formula was built by subtraction.

NOT IN STOCK YET

The expensive way to make a simple thing.

Kaolane is poured by hand, in small batches, from seven cosmetic-grade ingredients. The glide comes from olive-derived squalane rather than the coconut fraction most balms use. The structure comes from candelilla wax rather than beeswax. Both cost several times more than what they replace, and both are the reason this works for skin that reacts to everything else.
